Arm Run Over By Car | Vlog #21

This is why I do this site. I wanna see user-created content that tries. If you “Miley and Mandy show” things up, you’ll get destroyed, but if you put some effort into it,  you’ll always get a fair review.

I thought the subject matter was quite funny: this is a youtube video about people making a youtube video. This sort of meta-tubeage makes me laugh, because it pokes fun at the stuff I do all week long. The egotism of the Nate character shines through when his main concern is not the safety of his limbs, but whether or not people will see his video. Silliness abides in this series, and I hope for good things.

Some things they need to work on: slow down what you’re saying to a level that is audible! I could hardly make out some of the audio because they talk as fast as I type (perhaps a sign of intelligence and quick cognition). Also, try mixing it up with multiple scenes perhaps? The idea you had was great, but the storyline didn’t travel all that far.

All shows need to learn a little in their infancy…see also: Simpsons (the first season was painfully unfunny), and to some degree Family Guy. If you keep your episode ideas fresh, and work on your acting (as all youtubers must), you can put out something original and entertaining. This show, and others like it (Wooden Nickel Shorts, Leaving Bliss, etc) are proof.
