Best Comedic Skit

Jack Chop was chosen for its originality, gore factor, Boston inside joke factor, and attractive guy factor. The word “boss” is used as an adjective. Profanity is hilarious.

Best Hitler Video

As anybody who has ever played Apples to Apples can tell you, Hitler is a bit of a trump card. Hitler, while a terribly evil man, is excellent as a figure of ridicule and jackassedry. This video is one of dozens (maybe hundreds) that take the same Hitler clip from the same movie, and superimpose different context onto the clip via the subtitle. This clip won my heart when it turned a topical news item into a Hitler video parody immediately after it was reported in the news. There is a great disconnect in this video between Hitler yelling at his underlings and President Obama being in the news for something stupid.

Sittin on the toilet was named number one in the kill yourself category. This should not surprise anyone. VV does not advocate suicide except for in special cases.

I have to say, Edward Current, in disguise as a religious crazy, completely baited and fooled me. Read this interview and these posts (#1 and #2) to understand just how much he fooled me with his acting ability. Bravo, Edward, bravo.

The Zeitgeist of 2009

If I wanted to say one word that captured the spirit of this past year it would be Snuggie. Snuggies for people and snuggies for pets. Instead of global action, we lay dormant on our couches in our backwards robes that conduct more static electricity than a little red headed child with a balloon. Let’s hope 2010 is not the year of the Cocoon Cape. Just wrap yourself up and watch Avatar everything’s fine!
